KIMBERLEY SWIMMING CLUB
MEMBERSHIP 2010
The following rates apply for 2010
- Main Pool £30.00
- Small Pool £25.00
- Associate £8.50
- ASA Category 2 (Open Galas) £22.50
The ASA (Cat 2) rate (set by the ASA) will only be due from swimmers who wish to take part in Open competitive galas. This does NOT apply to swimmers who are selected to swim in normal (pink slip) club galas.
Current members who do not pay their fees before 1 March 2010 will be considered to have left the club and their membership will be CANCELLED. Therefore, if they wish to “re-join” they will have to pay the joining fee again.
A one-off Joining Fee is due from all NEW members [and those that become full swimming members who originally registered as Associate members].
These are:
- Main / Small pool member £10.00
- Associate member (not reduced rate swimming member) £5.00
- Associate upgrade to swimming member £5.00
The membership year runs from January to December each year. Members joining throughout the year will pay reduced membership fees but the joining fee will remain at the above level.
All new members must pay their respective fees on the fourth visit.
Associate fees must always be paid in full, as must ASA Category 2 registration fees.

For Information, the categories of membership are:
Life Members Members defined by the Committee as holding this status. No fees due in any year. Membership form required to confirm personal details and interest / involvement in the Club. Assumed to be non-swimming members who may also be officials.
Free Associate 1. Any member who teaches, assists pool side, sits on the committee, staffs the payment desk or otherwise as determined by the Committee. Membership form required to confirm personal details. Assumed to be non-swimming members. If member also swims, relevant pool rates are due.
2. Any member under the age of three on 1st January in the relevant year who has a brother or sister who is at least an Associate swimming member. Membership form required to confirm personal details. Assumed to be small pool swimmer in parent and toddler session only.
Swimming
Associate 1. Any other member who has not commenced lessons in the small pool and swims in Parent and Toddler session only.
2. Any member who only swims in the Parent & Toddler sessions in the small pool or the Family Swim in the main pool. Where these are children who subsequently start lessons the Small Pool, the relevant membership fee becomes due immediately, taking account of any reduced rates that may apply.
3. Any member who has at least two other direct child family members who are also paying members of the Club. This category of membership will be applied to the lowest membership rate first. (In practice this represents a saving where there would otherwise be at least three child members who are small pool or main pool swimming members.)
Small Pool Members taking lessons in the small pool who may swim in the main pool in Family Swim sessions.
Main Pool Any other swimming member (not covered by the above categories)
Voting Associate Any member of the club who does not take part in any swimming session but wishes to hold voting rights at the AGM. Members must be at least 16 years of age to vote and must be a parent or carer of a swimming member or otherwise actively involved in the Club.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO ADVISE THE CLUB IF YOU MOVE HOUSE OR CHANGE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS – ESPECIALLY EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS.
Under revised ASA requirements all members MUST register with the ASA. Anyone who does not do this will not be covered by the ASA insurance and as a consequence the Club will be forced to bar members from swimming whether or not they have paid their annual fees until the ASA has confirmed that they have insurance cover.
To ensure you are covered, an ASA “green form” MUST be completed and handed to the Club as soon as you start swimming with us.
